Boudewijn Steur is historicus en werkzaam als programmamanager Versterking Democratie en Bestuur bij het ministerie van Binnenlandse Zaken en Koninkrijksrelaties. Hij houdt zich daar vooral bezig met het functioneren van de democratie en het openbaar bestuur. Daarnaast heeft hij zitting in de Rekenkamercommissie Zaltbommel, de Rekenkamercommissie IJsselstein en de Referendumcommissie Capelle a/d IJssel.
