Melanie Peters

Melanie Peters studeerde levensmiddelentechnologie in Wageningen. Ze promoveerde in de biochemie aan het Imperial College in Londen. Ze was wetenschappelijk onderzoeker aan de universiteit van Texas in Austin en wetenschappelijk onderzoeksleider bij Shell. Peters vervulde verschillende functies op het snijvlak van wetenschap, beleid, politiek en samenleving bij het Ministerie van Landbouw, de Consumentenbond en als directeur van Studium Generale Universiteit Utrecht. Peters vindt dat we als samenleving zelf moeten bepalen hoever we ons laten leiden door technologie.
