Ronald van Steden

Dr. Ronald van Steden is Universitair Hoofddocent Bestuurswetenschappen en Politicologie aan de Faculteit der Sociale Wetenschappen van de Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. Ook is hij voor één dag per week verbonden aan de Stichting Maatschappij en Veiligheid. Meer in het bijzonder houdt Van Steden zich bezig met vraagstukken rondom het thema ‘lokale veiligheid en politie’. Hij doceert in de master Besturen van Veiligheid aan de VU. Daarnaast verricht hij onderzoek naar privatisering van veiligheid, toezicht en handhaving van de gemeente, wijkpolitie, veiligheidsnetwerken en vrijwilligers/actieve burgers in veiligheid.
